What is a facelift?

Facelift surgery in India is commonly known as Rhytidectomy. This is the one of the surgical procedure in order to remove the visible signs of the aging around the face and neck. This technique is used to provide the relaxation of the skin of the face from the sagging. This is also used to deepening of the fold lines that appear between the nose and the corner of the mouth. This is used to remove the fat that is fallen or the disappeared. This technique is also the alternative solution of the double chin.
The loss of the youthful contours is due to the numbers of the factors like thinning of the skin, loss of facial fat, gravity, sun damage etc. The facelift surgery cost in India is far less than the cost in other countries.

What is the procedure of the facelift surgery?

Facelift surgery can be performed with the following steps;

Step 1 – Anesthesia

The main aim of the medications is to provide the comfort during the surgical procedure. There are basically two types of the anesthesia are used named as intravenous sedation and the general anesthesia. Your doctor will suggest the best option for you.
There are the numbers of the procedures that will enhance the outcome of the facelift surgery:

  • The facial implant is used to transfer the fat to improve the contour.
  • The next technique is resurfacing technique which is used to improve the tone and texture of the facial skin.

Step 2 – The incision

There are three main types of the changes that person opt for the facelift. This includes the traditional facelift, limited incision facelift, and the neck lift.

Traditional facelift incision: this incision is usually started at the temples. This will continue around the ears but ends in the lower scalp. In this technique, the deeper layers of the face and the muscles are lifted. This is used to trim away the excess skin.
The second incision is done under the chin. This is used to improve an aging neck.

Traditional Facelift : This uses the shorter incisions at the temples. This will continue around the ear. This is the mini lift treatment. This is used for those patients with less skin relaxation

Neck Lift: This method is used in those cases where is loose skin and excess of the fat accumulation under the chin. The incisions start in front of the earlobe and wrap around behind the ear. This will end in the posterior hair behind the hair.

Step 3 – Closing the incisions

Some of the surgeons use the skin glues to seal the skin incisions. All the incision lines are well concealed within the hairline.

Step 4 – See the results

The last result will give you more youthful look and the appearance.
